Sunflowers!
I took this picture for a future painting. I love sunflowers. They are so...out there! This flower is huge, tall, and happy!

Kamaole III Park
After taking the picture, and looking at this wonderful view everyday, I finally painted this. 12 x 12inches.
Kamaole III Park Kihei, Maui
So every morning I go for a walk, a long walk. I finish at Kamaole III Park by the jungle gym so I can do my stretches. I stand at the bars and look at this view..every day. It's never the same actually. The shadows change, the people change, the ocean changes. I love this view.
Kailua-Kona, Hawai'i
This great little spot along Ali'i Drive I pass all the time. Watching the waves roll in, feeling the breeze on my face..love it. This would make for a great panoramic painting. Keeping that in mind.
Kailua-Kona
Along my morning walk..this is what I see. I took this picture for a future painting.
South Point, Hawai'i Island
Driving down to South Point on the Big Island. Southern most point of the United States. Isn't that cool- This is one of those places where, as you are driving you think...do I really want to keep driving down this road- And then BAM! Pulling up to the edge of the world- South Point. Absolutely amazing place to see. The water is so alive.
What a funky looking plant- not found in many places other than Haleakala, Maui.
I was hiking in Haleakala National Park's crater. The cloud formations were amazing. I spent a lot of time looking up, which I have found to to be hard while hiking- so the best method is to stop and take it all in.
I went back packing in Haleakala Crater. The clouds were amazing.
Luanaiki Place tank
This propane tank..kept looking at me every day. I'd go outside the house and sit with my coffee cup and look at it glaring at me. Taunting me to do something about it. So, I got my paints and let 'er rip. The neighbors approve. The cup-de-sac is happier now.
I was back packing up Mauna Loa on the Big Island of Hawaii. The winds were incredibly strong. At that high elevation, the winds were super cold also. It was a gorgeous weekend of some amazing sites. The cinder has such an array of colors from jet black to deep red and rusty orange.
